About Us

Hyderabad Karnataka Education Society has established the College of Nursing with an objective to provide an educational Programme through which the graduates are prepared to assume responsibility in the Primary, Secondary & Tertiary care of people as a professional nurse. The aim of the institution was to meet the demand of Nursing personnel in this region and serve the state & nation as well.

The College was the first of its kind to emerge in 1991 as private Nursing Institution with 13 students as intake during the tenure of Dr. B.G. Jawali.

The College was started in the 1st floor of CT Scan BTGH, with 3 lecture halls and 1 Nursing lab, under the able administration of Dr. P. S. Shankar, Dean MRMC Gulbarga. In 1993 Sri. A.P. Chowdiah, took charge as Principal of H.K.E.S College of Nursing Gulbarga. Later the College of Nursing was shifted to IInd floor of BTGH in 1994. A new College building was inaugurated inside BTGH Campus on 24.11.1999 by Sri. S.M. Krishna the then Chief Minister of Karnataka.
